Private Henry Conn

 

The background of this man is not known at present.

Henry Conn enlisted at Belfast on 29 May 1917. He was described as being 5' 6" tall, and stated that he was 19 years old, was born in Paisley, Scotland, and worked as a labourer.

Between 26 June and 2 July 1917 he was posted to the North Irish Horse (regimental number 2567). He was reported to have deserted from the regiment's reserve base at Antrim on 11 July 1917. It is not known if he was subsequentially apprehended.
